The entire operation is being conducted in just one day which is a dramatic statement for the authorities to make on what they feel is a current slot machine epidemic in the town. The raid has turned up over nine hundred slot machine like devices which have all been confiscated and tagged as evidence against the businesses in question.

This is not the first time, however that the city of Austin has under gone a massive slot machine cleansing. the last batch of raids was conducted in the summer of last year and turned up over seven hundred of the machines from thirty-four different operators. Sadly, you would expect the amount of people still operating the device illegally would drop after such a huge sting not long ago, but instead the number of slot machines found grew.
